A couple of story ideas:
Ghosts being reflections and imprints of horrible events, someone who survived an event that should have killed them is confronted by their own ghost. I could do some really interesting things with this, what if the person gets isolated, trapped somewhere with the spirit and begins to question their own memories, whether they’re alive or dead because of the malicious ghosts presence.
I am thinking maybe the main character would be a woman who was the victim of a violent rape, who died and was resuscitated.
There are some other story ideas in my head. I also want to write a short story sometime soon, finish the Dreamer.
Another cool one is for a group of roman soldiers guarding a fleeing senator from ancient Rome, fleeing Carthage and traveling south into the heart of Africa, being surrounded and slowly confronted by as well as absorbed within the mystic culture.
That’s all I can really think of off the top of my head, I have to start working on Short now.
