The Future

Growth in wisdom can be measured precisely by decline in bile.
— Nietzsche

This rings particularly true to me, anger and resentment seem more and more to be entirely rooted in a lack of understanding and empathetic vacuum. Everyone universally struggles with their pain, and pain is a relative but very real thing. In any situation there is death to the soul, and absence of something. Even the absence of adversity is an source of great pain as it is adversity under which the soul grows and glows brightest. THe human soul doesn't just need pain, it is able to find it anywhere, and always has and always will.

Oh, and by the way.. fuck yeah, the 80s:

A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.
-Roald Dahl

  1. I get what you're saying about pain being part of the soul, but do you really believe the soul needs pain? Just because it is a part of the soul is not to say that the soul cannot exist in the absence of pain. just something to think about. please check out my blog, Sleepless In Solitude.
